The villa was built in 1904 on the instructions of a wealthy German merchant Hermann Ammende for his daughter's wedding reception. The architectural features are stunning with striking wooden staircases, hand-painted ceilings and walls, majestic chandeliers, hunting trophies and noble stoves decorated with glazed tiles made in the Bohm factory in Riga.

Ammende Villa has 19 rooms to choose from. The main building has 5 suites and 8 de Luxe rooms, all complete with antique furniture and furnishings retaining the original Art Nouveau influence. In the Gardener's House there are 4 double de luxe and 2 single rooms furnished with Art Nouveau furniture.
